A ghost town

Finally, it is in Lamadan here.
People fast from sunrise to sunset, which is almost about 14 hrs!! Since it is in summer, deadly hot here, I kind a feel pitty for them. They are not allowed to drink any water as well.

As soon as the sun goes down, people rush to their home and eat with families. I went to citystars, the biggest shopping mall in Cairo at about 6 yesterday but almost all the shops were temporarily closed-----it was like a ghost town. I sat in a Starbacks, which was the only cafe which was open and studied a bit. It was actually kind a nice!! I could concentrate on reading materials in public for the first time in Egypt. I and a chinese guy were the only customers. All the people I saw seemed to be christian, women didn't wear scarves.

From today, I'm gonna start working on a new project!!

This weekend, I am planning to go to Alexandria. I was supposed to go to Aswan but I postponed it for a party tonight I was invited to. It is a muslim party to cerebrate the beginning of Lamadan.
